PRE-REQUISITE TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR THIS TRAINING:

• E-learning C6A010 Livestock Feed Sampling (e-learning)

Feed sample analysis to verify guarantees and to monitor for presence of biological and chemical contaminants and residues provides important information regarding livestock feed safety and efficacy. Inspectors must know how to apply program-specific information as provided in the Inspection memoranda National Feed Inspection Programs I-3-93. This workbook will provide background information on established analytical tolerances, contaminants of interest, both biological and chemical, as well as practice exercises.

Following the publication of the new Feeds Regulations, 2024, the Feed Inspector Training Module 9 - Feed Sampling (PS Code I6B142, I6B200 and I6B201) has been updated and replaced with two new trainings:

1. E-learning “Livestock Feed Sampling” PS Code C6A010

2. Self-Learning “Understanding and Interpreting Feed Sample Analysis Results Workbook” PS Code C6A009 .

Upon completion of this self-learning and the completion of the e-learning Livestock Feed Sampling (PS Code C6A010), participants will have a working knowledge of the relevant regulations and be able to utilize the various documents and tools to complete feed sampling and interpret sample analysis results.
