This online course has been developed for inspection staff overseeing Specified Risk Material (SRM control measures on premises and the permitting system.

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

• define Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE), variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (vCJD) and Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSE), including prevalence and transmission
• recognize BSE clinical signs

• describe the evolution and importance of the Enhanced Feed Ban (EFB)
