This online course contains information to assist CFIA animal health veterinarians and accredited veterinarians improve their knowledge of the on-farm requirements and the role of accredited veterinarians for cervid herds enrolled in a regional Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Herd Certification Program (HCP). Topics covered include:
• general rules and elements of the CWD HCP National Standards
• details on each of the standards, including accredited veterinarian activities
This course has been developed for:
• CFIA Animal Health Veterinarians who train and oversee accredited veterinarians for the CWD HCP function
• Accredited Veterinarians who deliver the CWD HCP function
