Description

This course presents the legislative requirements related to the importation of edible meat products into Canada and the procedures to determine a country eligibility to export meat products in Canada.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

• identify the legislative requirements for meat product imports as prescribed in the Health of Animal Act and Regulations, the Food and Drugs Act. the Food and Drug Regulations and the Safe Food for Canadians Act and Regulations;

• determine the country and establishments that are eligible to export meat products in Canada.
