The Food Safety Investigation Course provides CFIA employees with the knowledge and skills required to identify and respond to food safety incidents.

Participants will gain an understanding of the food safety investigation process, including preliminary assessment steps, prioritization of incidents, and the development of food safety investigation plans.

In addition, participants will learn techniques for collecting pertinent information and focusing food safety investigations on various types of incidents, such as allergen, chemical, extraneous material, microbiological, and nutrition-related incidents.
