Description
The Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act (PSDPA) and the Federal Accountability Act (FAA) require all federal departments and agencies to make an internal disclosure process available to their staff for reporting allegations of wrongdoing. This introductory course will help employees understand these procedures; their rights and responsibilities with respect to internal disclosure of wrongdoing at the CFIA; the role of the CFIA Senior Integrity Officer (SIO); and the role of the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner (PSIC).
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- A student with a laptop, pen and notebook
- explain what Internal Disclosure of Wrongdoing is;
- describe the role of CFIA’s Senior Integrity Officer;
- describe the role of the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner;
- describe the process for making a disclosure;
- explain what degree of confidentiality can be expected;

- explain recourse procedures for a disclosure.
