Description
This online course provides information to enable CFIA inspection staff at meat processing facilities to apply Occupational Health and Safety principles, promote OSH culture and demonstrate safety in daily work activities.
By the end of the course you should be able to:
- Recognize the acts and regulations governing OSH at the CFIA
- Find and list unique features of a third-party establishment when performing meat processing inspection tasks
- Consult a basic JHA to identify hazards and apply safe work practices by following preventative measures
- Use PPE
- Recall the roles and responsibilities in the HOIR process
