By the end of this course, you will be able to: describe the role of Inspectors, Supervisors, Regional Veterinary Officers and Inspection Managers involved with the Humane Transport (HT) of animals, perform effective and efficient HT inspections, determine and document non-compliance with Part XII of the HAR.
Humane Transport of Animals - Level 3
This course is highly recommended as a follow-up to “Humane Transport of Animals – Level 2”, but is not mandatory to complete the “Humane Transport of Animals – Level 3” course to be considered fully trained to handle humane transport of animals related tasks.
Humane Transportation of Animals - Health of Animals Regulations
This online course will help participants understand how to use available resources to locate and reference information regarding the humane transport of animals; identify the roles of the CFIA and the obligations of regulated parties in regards to the humane transport of animals; and apply the Health of Animals Regulations (HAR) - Part XII as they relate to the humane transport of animals.
ICTS Citrix Introduction Training for Meat Import Inspectors
This course covers some basics related to logging into the ICTS Citrix application and changing your password. It provides an overview of the data that is used to document meat shipments and the Import Inspection Report (IIR) that is generated by the ICTS. It demonstrates a number of various queries that can be used to search for meat shipment files, printing inspection reports and entering inspection results.
Inspection of Edible Meat Products Import
This course will provide guidance to Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) inspection staff on conducting visual and organoleptic inspections of imported edible meat products to assess compliance of the shipment and meat products within CFIA requirements.
Inspection of Edible Meat Products Import - Support Sessions
The Meat Products Import Classroom Training (I6D131) has been replaced by a series of six self-study e-learning courses. Two instructor-led support sessions with two pre-session assignments have been developed to allow learners deepens their understanding of the material reviewed in the e-learnings by asking questions and discussing case scenarios with the trainers and their peers.
International Waste
This course introduces the International Waste program and details the roles and responsibilities of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) with regards to delivering the program. The CFIA and the CBSA collaboratively oversee and deliver the International Waste (IW) Program, so it is important to understand how this relationship works.
